Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Ward Administrator on Belvedere Ward. (15 hours a week Monday and Thursday).

Belvedere Ward is a 14-bedded Older Persons Mental Health Inpatient Ward, dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to individuals living with dementia. The team is passionate about creating a supportive and therapeutic environment for patients, carers, and staff alike.

As the Ward Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the ward. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the multidisciplinary team, maintaining accurate records, managing appointments, and ensuring effective communication across the service.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update patient records and ward documentation
  • Support ward staff with administrative tasks and communication
  • Liaise with families, carers, and external services as required
  • Ensure efficient handling of telephone and email enquiries
  • Contribute to maintaining a well-organised and welcoming ward environment
  • Provide support to Ward Manager and the Nursing team

  • Ability to manage diverse workload whilst dealing with frequent interruptions.
