An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible professional to join our finance team as a Financial Accountant on a fixed term, full time basis for a period of 12-18 months.
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience of working in an accountancy role and managing staff who is a committed team player and can contribute to the performance of our wider team performance.
DPT is one of the UKs most progressive mental health and learning disability trusts, providing services across Devon and Bristol.

Main duties of the job
As part of the essential requirements to this job you will have:
- CCAB/CIMA qualification
- Full understanding of the principles of accounting and accounting standards
- Specialist knowledge or, and ability to advise both financial and non-financial colleagues the impact of changes to reporting standards
- Substantial experience of working in an accountancy role to include experience of staff management
- Good organisational skills and a logical approach to problem solving
- Ability to communicate with and relate to a wide range of people throughout the organisation
- Excellent presentation skills both verbal and written
