Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to proactively work in partnership with international recruitment partners to ensure our Internationally Educated Nurses are fully supported throughout their employment with us.

The Wellbeing Coordinator for International Recruitment will sit within the Staff Health and Wellbeing Team, and will be trained to support and signpost international recruits with a range of health and wellbeing issues. The wellbeing coordinator will work closely with the Head of Staff Health and Wellbeing, the Staff Physical Health and Wellbeing Lead and the Supporting Staff Service who provide administrative support for a range of health and wellbeing initiatives. Main duties of the job

  • You will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with the physical welcome of the international professionals into the UK; you will ensure that they are supported through their journey to their site base and support the international recruitment team in assisting with a smooth arrival process.
  • Maintaining contact after a job offer is made
  • Liaising with teams and managers teams to resolve any non-clinical issues
  • Understand a range of facts or situations requiring analysis
  • You will advise managers on a range of HR issues, e.g. absence, special leave entitlement, in relation to internationally educated professionals
  • You will work in collaboration with the Staff Health and Wellbeing Team, International Recruitment Coordinator and International Recruitment Team
  • You will work closely with the international recruitment team to plan arrival cohorts throughout the year
  • You will be responsible for the developing and management of a buddy system to ensure new arrivals are supported socially and clinically by their peers.
  • Along with the IR coordinator you will arrange collection and transport of the international recruits from their arrival airport
  • You will write and oversee the plans for the initial weeks post arrival including local orientation, GP registration, bank accounts, and collection of residency permits.
  • Along with the practice educator arrange for face to face educational sessions to take place during the first two weeks
