Job summary
Due to the career progression of a current team member, an exciting part-time secondment opportunity has become available within the Practice Education Team
This role is part a small team responsible for the
co-ordination and delivery of an educational programme focussing on Globally
Educated Professionals working within Devon Partnership Trust.
The role is advertised for 0.4 WTE for fixed term (End date 17/08/2026). The opportunity may suit someone who is looking to gain further
experience in education, whilst retaining their post in their clinical team.
You will provide guidance, training and mentoring
for all members of staff involved in globally educated professionals practice
education.
This will include signposting to useful sources of
information/training, teaching new knowledge, techniques or skills and visiting
clinical teams to provide guidance on the competency framework for new staff.
You will receive guidance and direction from our
experienced Educators within the Practice Education team.
Interviews will be held 15/08/2025 and will include a pre-prepared activity, details of which will be shared to those shortlisted for interview
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have either worked
internationally or directly supported clinicians who have worked
internationally
You will be expected to plan, facilitate and
evaluate the Trusts Globally Educated Professionals induction and thorough learning
Programme alongside other members of the practice education team
You will undertake regular visits to all clinical
areas to support the clinical educational elements of the competency framework
in place for our globally educated staff. In order to achieve this you will be
expected to travel to all service throughout our organisation.
Developing relationships with colleagues is a
fundamental part of this role and you will be expected to provide managers and
staff with advice and guidance on matters relating to practice development, the
trusts programme, policy and approach and any training available. At times, you
will need to deal with sensitive situations involving our staff and seek
guidance from other Workforce colleagues as appropriate.
In addition, as part of your role you will be
expected to take part in team meetings, Personal Development Reviews, personal
development planning, 1:1 supervision meetings etc.
