Main duties of the job
As a Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist, you will provide senior clinical leadership to our dynamic multidisciplinary Liaison Psychiatry service. This role also offers opportunities for development and clinical leadership within our Integrated Psychological Medicine Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Development:Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, driving service improvement projects and engaging in our robust service governance programme. The team continues to expand and deliver QI projects, some of which have been recognised nationally in recent years.
- Support and Supervision:We have strong organisational development support, dedicated medical staffing personnel and prioritise individual career development and team reflective practice. You will be well placed to provide supervision to all levels of trainee medical staff, fostering a supportive learning environment. You'll also have the chance to engage in teaching and training medical students.
- Research and Innovation:Pursue your research interests with the support of our close connection to The University of Exeter and our co-located R&D team at Wonford House Hospital. This team successfully runs multiple national trials and will support your interests in gaining or building on research experience.
