Job summary
Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is recruiting a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join our Neurodiversity Pathway. This is an exciting opportunity to support children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs, including autism, ADHD, and related conditions, as part of a compassionate and multi-disciplinary service.
This role is suitable for applicants who already hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification, or those looking to train into the role. A trainee post (Band 3) will be offered to suitable candidates without the qualification, with support to complete the required foundation degree within two years.
Main duties of the job
Support the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people on the neurodiversity pathway
Assist with assessment, care planning and interventions under the supervision of registered practitioners
Deliver structured, evidence-based support to individuals, families, and groups
Liaise with schools, families, and multi-agency colleagues to ensure holistic care
Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
Work flexibly and independently as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team

Regular supervision, training and support from experienced clinicians
