Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is looking for a passionate and skilled Digital Communications Officer to join our Communications Team.

Based at our Wonford House site in Exeter, you will be a key player in shaping and delivering our digital communications strategy.

Reporting directly to the Digital Communications Lead you will take responsibility for developing the Trusts digital platforms, including our website, social media channels, and internal communications systems.

As part of your role, you will play a vital role in creating engaging content, supporting the development and launch of our new website, and ensuring our digital presence is impactful, accessible, and informative. This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a significant contribution to how we engage with patients, staff, and the wider community.

Main duties of the job

  • Develop and evaluate a wide range of digital communication channels including the Trusts website, intranet, social media platforms, video channels, and online presence on external sites.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Communications Lead to create and implement the Trusts Digital Communications Strategy, ensuring it aligns with the Trusts wider goals.
  • Work closely with teams across the Trust, enabling staff to maximize the use of digital platforms by providing training, guidance, and technical support.
  • Manage content creation, ensuring it is informative, accurate, and engaging for both internal and external audiences.
  • Coordinate with the IM&T team and external suppliers to ensure digital platforms are running smoothly and remain up-to-date with best practices.
  • Support the launch and ongoing development of the Trusts new website, ensuring it meets the needs of users and enhances the Trusts digital presence.
