TALKWORKS, Devons NHS Talking Therapies Service has a great opportunity for you. TALKWORKS, is a large, high performing service, with strong fidelity to the treatment service and model.
The opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Senior PWP in the services Central Duty Team (CDT). The position will be a 12 month secondment for 37.5 hours across Monday - Friday. We welcome applications from motivated and dynamic individuals who are able to use their therapeutic knowledge, supervisory and leadership skills to guide and empower clinicians within the team.
The SPWP will provide a consistent oversight of the CDT and will work closely with the Operational & Professional Lead for CDT within the TALKWORKS Central Team to ensure compliance with the performance and governance requirements of the service.
Main duties of the job
- Triage referrals and respond to queries directed to the CDT from the core TALKWORKS teams
- Respond to requests for referral discussion with DPT and external referrers; and request additional information from refers, for example probation, drug & alcohol services
- Manage patients calling in distress, or with clinical queries about the service and and follow up any risk concerns identified
- Contribute to the development of the CDT and review of the day to day processes within the team
- Offer evidence-based practice in low intensity CBT interventions to a small case load within a locality team
- Contributeto the development of traineepsychological well-being practitioners
- Offer day to day coaching, advice and support to PWP's within the CDT and where necessary in other localities- covering for colleagues
- Deliver case management, and clinical supervision, as required, to PWPs and trainees.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for the development of low intensity services to share their interest and passion, and to develop these qualities and skills in others.
- Engage with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and will work in various community settings.
- The post holder will line manage, as required.
- Participate in activities of continuing professional development (CPD) on an annual basis.
