We have an exciting an innovative opportunity for a Band 7
Family Therapist, who will be an integral part of the child and adolescent 'Manging Risk Pathway'; a newly designed innovative pathway for children and
young people who require intensive and acute support with emotional and mental
health presentations, in the community setting.
Our pathway teams are trained in Adaptive Mentalisation
Based Integrative Therapy (AMBIT). This model will guide us in adopting a team
around the key worker model of care, where CYP and their family/carers have a
trusted and accessible worker who gains specialist advice and support from all
the other professionals involved in their care.
You will have a varied caseload and may support teams across
the county pathway in the delivery, bringing systemic practice into the care
delivery of CYP and their familys who require intensive support with their
mental health needs.
Systemic practice and supervision are a key function of our
across county service , and you will have access to the training currently
being progressed across the pathway , which include; Positive behaviour
support, AMBIT, DBT skills, Motivational interviewing, crisis support,
therapeutic assessment , solution focus brief therapy and many more! We are
committed and excited about innovation and the continued development of the
services for CYP and their familys/ carers where there is high complexity and
risk.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary service, where there will be many opportunities to work with and learn from colleagues with different trainings and experiences. The Manging Risk pathway is made up of a Senior Nurse, Speech and Language Therapist, local and overarching leadership and management, Senior Mental Health Practitioners, Assistant Practitioners, Specialist Nursing, Consultant Psychiatry, Psychology and Family Therapy. The pathway currently has an established and successful Assertive Outreach andCrisis service, and LDAP Keyworker Pilot.
Managing risk and being able to assess mental health
presentations in the community is a core part of this role, responding to both
urgent and routine, planned and unplanned need. You will be required to work
flexibly across a range of clinical, community and home-based settings to meet
the needs of the child.
You will be responsible for providing therapeutic
intervention that is strengths-focused, evidence-based and tailored to meet the
needs of the child/young person and their family/carer.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working
with children/ young people in the community with the confidence to intervene
to meet a range of mental health needs and a desire to work with others to
continually improve what we do.

(RMN, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, psychotherapist) with professional
knowledge acquired through qualifying/masters level training in Family and
Systemic Psychotherapy. You will be able to work alongside colleagues in a
multi-disciplinary team and develop relationships across agencies to meet the
needs of children and families. The ability to adapt communication and

Undertake
specialist assessments, manage risks and hold a complex caseload
Using
a strengths-based approach, ensure clinical effectiveness through the use of
evidence-based interventions, goal-based, collaborative practice and Routine
Outcome Measures.
Provide
supervision and support to other clinicians with the ability to demonstrate
compassionate leadership, to understand and follow HR policies and procedures,
ensure staff wellbeing and development and adopt a collaborative approach to
engage staff with a range of skills and communication needs.
Work
effectively with operational, professional and clinical leadership colleagues
to support clinicians in devising and implementing evidence-based care to suit
the individual needs of parents/carers and infants.
Contribute
to the provision of a range of early help/light touch interventions across
pathways.
Attend,
participate and chair relevant meetings with the ability to present information
