Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding rehabilitation service in Devon based in Exeter. The post is a 6 PA role providing consultant input and leadership to the well established 10 bedded rehabilitation ward.

The post holder will join a great team and will work alongside another consultant covering the community rehabilitation team and the ward has a core trainee, a team of occupational therapists, a full compliment of nurses and recovery support workers and an art psychotherapist.

Rehabilitation psychiatry is expanding in Devon and this is an excellent opportunity to be involved at the beginning of developing enhanced services for people with complex psychosis.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve being consultant psychiatrist to the rehabilitation ward with RC responsibility to detained patients. The post holder will formulate person centred treatment plans and rehabilitation goals for people on the ward and will be adept at managing complex psychosis and other co-morbidities.

The role is supported by an expanding number of rehabilitation consultants in Devon and an excellent team on the rehabilitation ward.
