Job summary
Community Perinatal Mental Health Services are looking for an
experienced, dynamic, self-motivated and passionate 8b Clinical/Counselling
Psychologist/Psychotherapist.
Having just secured additional funding, the Community
Perinatal Service is going through an exciting period of expansion in order to
meet the commitments of the NHS Long Term Plan.
The successful applicant will be joining an established but fast paced and developing Psychology service and they will be required to be innovative in their thinking in order to meet the demands of the service whilst working alongside the teams to deliver high quality care which we are proud of.
Whilst the post will be covering the four geographical areas, this can be discussed and negotiated to agree working from one of the four bases.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work across our four developing
community perinatal teams in Devon as well as our newly developed Maternal
Mental Health Service.
Whilst we have an established Psychology structure, with the
expansion of service, we are now in a position to develop our Psychology
leadership structure.
The successful applicant will play a key role in the ongoing
development of our Psychology offer as well as offering senior clinical
leadership and oversight of the service. They will be joining a very
experienced and motivated leadership team who are committed to further
improving the quality of care for perinatal women and families.
Devon Partnership NHS Trust Perinatal Service is a
well-established service and we have been awarded for our exceptional work at a
national level (Positive Practice in Mental Health - Community Perinatal Team
2016 winner). We have close working partnerships with our local Maternity
Departments, University of Exeter, University of Plymouth, Talkworks (IAPT),
Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) and MBU Outreach Team as well as the Trusts well-respected
Research Department.
