Job summary
The Devon Adult Autism and ADHD Service are looking for a dynamic, committed and compassionate Service Manager. We are looking for a leader who will uphold and realise our guiding principle; to improve the lives of autistic people and people with ADHD.
We provide assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, medication reviews, some post-diagnostic psychological interventions for service users and their families and consultation for healthcare colleagues.
We are a large, multi-disciplinary service, divided into two distinct but interrelated workstreams: ADHD and Autism. We are a friendly, skilled, compassionate and established team, comprising allied health professionals, psychologists and psychology assistants. We are also seeking to appoint to a team manager position to assist and support the service manager in the safe and effective running of the service.

The post holder will also highly value and support staff well-being, understanding that this is inextricably linked to patient experience. We are currently using a hybrid of home and office working.
Main duties of the job
The Service Manager will be integral to leadership team within (DAANA), supporting the Team Manager with operational responsibility for the service. They will ensure the service continues to offer patient centred care with good clinical governance as well service developments which meets the needs of service users.
You will provide efficient and effective management in the delivery of clinical interventions, ensuring best use of resources across all care pathways within the service, and working with colleagues within the Devon Adult Autism Interventions Team (DAAIT) to develop and deliver joint initiatives across the whole neurodiversity pathway.
You will provide managerial and clinical supervision to staff and have the ability to ensure that demand is met appropriately whilst being accountable for delivery of proactive caseload management. You will have performance management responsibility for all key performance target.
You will promote a culture based on strengths, choice and personalised care and treatment, and collaboration in which neurodivergent individuals, and their supports/families can be active in all elements of service care pathways. Lived experience in the ongoing development of the overall pathway is also key to the services success.
The Service Manager will ensure effective governance and delivery of the service models, and specifications based on evidence and best practice within commissioned requirements.
