Job summary
We have a rare job opportunity on Beech Unit for a Staff Nurse. This job is open to experienced nurses or soon to be newly qualified nurses. Beech Unit which is an acute psychiatric ward for older adults with functional mental health problems. The role of the Staff Nurse is an extremely dynamic and rewarding role. On Beech we take pride in our high standards of mental health care and we like to do things differently. We have around 50 staff and we have developed some staff roles you won't normally see on other wards such as physiotherapy, community support link workers, art therapy, animal therapy and music therapy. We even have a holistic massage therapist who also provides staff massage to support staff wellbeing.
We were announced as the Royal College of Psychiatrists Team of the Year Award for Older Adults in 2019 and won the Acute Mental Health Care Award at the National Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards 2022.
