- A qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
- Registered with the BABCP/BPS (or can provide evidence of application)
- Significant experience of working with people with mental health difficulties in a healthcare setting
- A commitment to inclusive and anti discriminatory practice
- Able to work on site in Watford at least one day a week and access other areas of Hertfordshire on occasion.
Where Would I Be Based?
You would be based in Watford and would be part of an experienced and supportive team. This post is a hybrid-working role and there would be an expectation for the post holder to attend the office for whole the day on a Tuesday or Wednesday as a minimum.
We are a wonderfully diverse team of 20 PWPs and are immensely proud of their talent and energy for this role.

Our staff tend to all work in a hybrid blend of home and office working. We provide the facilities for all staff to work full time in the office, but if you are able to provide yourself with a safe, suitable and confidential workspace at home, you may also work in a blended pattern.
Working from home is enabled making extensive use of Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
PWPs work alongside High intensity therapists to support a variety of step 3 groups. The PWPs also promote the service in various ways when clinical work allows, and deliver group webinars.
A full internal CPD program is on offer to all our staff, which runs throughout the year.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING
Essential
- Talking Therapies (previously IAPT) Graduate OR Post Graduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions
- PWP registration with BABCP or BPS OR must be eligible and willing to apply
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem
- Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets
- Experience of working in Primary Care Services
- Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- Demonstrates high standards of written communication
- Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
- Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health
Desirable
- Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care
- Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems
