We currently have opportunities to join the Nursing Bank within
Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust as a RN. In particular we are looking for BANK staff to work as and when required often at short notice atBand 5 level in COLCHESTER, North Essex. If you have previous experience of working with Service Users within a Learning Disabilities background, we would like to hear from you. All roles with the Bank are ad hoc (as and when) and therefore in particular may suit those already working part-time, with other commitments, or who want to work on a short-term basis. We can support Bank staff migration into a permanent role where there are vacancies.HPFT provides support for service users with mental health, learning disability and children's and adolescent mental health problems. Applicants should have some experience of working in a healthcare setting particularly within learning disability services.
All applicants need to hold a valid NMC Statement of Entry and should have completed Preceptorship and can evidence this.
Main duties of the job
In line with the philosophy of the clinical area, you will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for the service user, in conjunction with other staff.
You will work in close collaboration with other professionals, including the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology, Allied Health Professionals and Arts Therapies) in assessing service user's needs, devising care plans and evaluating outcomes that promote service user empowerment through the process.
The post holder will act as a positive role model and contributing to the professional development of junior staff and consistently demonstrating Trust Values.

Have a key role in ensuring the smooth running and co-ordination of the shift.
Be responsible for maintaining clinical standards under the direction of the charge nurses and team leader.
Work in liaison with service users, carers, other professionals and co-operatively with other services, ensuring the delivery of a needs-led service.
Work as part of the Trust shift rota across a 24-hour shift pattern.
Carry out and advocate professional specific interventions.
