Job summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Community Mental Health Nurse Band 6 to work within our Adult Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS) via a Bank Contract, based in Welwyn Garden City for our Adult Community Services Team. You will be joining our Temporary Staffing Team within HPFT - Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.

The post-holder will be responsible for the clinical and operational day-to-day service delivery ensuring that an individualised comprehensive assessment and Care Management service is effectively delivered.

HPFT provides services for service users with mental health, learning disability and children's and adolescent mental health problems. Applicants should have some experience of working in a healthcare setting.HPFT has a range of healthcare settings across the County and therefore access to a car would be beneficial unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving

All applicants need to hold a valid NMC Statement of Entry and should have completed Preceptorship and can evidence this.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be accountable for delivering a quality service that is effective and efficient in line with the organisation's objectives and performance indicators.

Role responsibilities will include the clinical and operational supervision of junior nursing staff and students as delegated by the team manager, and to contribute to strategic service development working collaboratively with other Agencies.You will be responsible for the clinical and operational day-to-day service delivery ensuring that an individualised comprehensive assessment and Care Management service is effectively delivered.

The post holder must be a car driver and have access to a car to be able to travel between HPFT sites.
