Acute Assessment and Short Stay Treatment Unit (AATU) - Female Only
We have a full time/part-time band 4 Medical Team Secretary role suitable for an administrator with knowledge of medical terminology, preferably in a mental health setting.
The role is within the Acute & Urgent Care Division (Inpatients), based at the new Dove ward.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
- be responsible for prioritising work, typing clinical and general administration correspondence, be the first point of contact for patients and other visitors to the Unit.
- provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Consaltants and Clinical Team and provide a high standard of service to patients.

Managing diaries for the Consaltants and clinical team
Managing and prioritizing departmental workload on a day-to-day basis.
To support the Consaltants and Team in the delivery of excellent Patient care by actively working with Colleagues and other Departments to ensure that all Patients registered within the Service is proactively supported through their patient journey.
Ensuring all telephone calls are answered within the department during core officeHours.
Opening and dealing with departmental post and allocating resulting work to appropriateStaff.
Monitoring turnaround times for clinical correspondence and taking corrective action as required, in conjunction with the Consaltants/Clinical Team.
Providing Consaltants/Clinical Team with relevant information relating to Administrative service.
Take minutes at secretarial staff meetings and attending other administrative meetingsas required.
Responsible for ensuring office equipment is in working order and office suppliesare maintained and replenished
To coordinate any action plans as set from the Team
To update and maintain trackers
