We are seeking to recruit a Team Leader to join Hertfordshire AMHP Service to cover maternity leave.

You must hold a full valid driving licence and have access to a car to use regularly for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
- provide leadership for AMHP Practitioners to ensure their services are integrated with and responsive to, other local service needs
- ensure (in conjunction with appropriate lead professionals) that practice within the teams meets relevant standards, is appropriate, timely, safe and follows agreed professional practice
- be responsible for the daily management of the AMHP Duty Hub. In conjunction with the Service Manager.

Job responsibilities
- Provide support to individual AMHPs across the workforce e.g. with the process of returning to practice, rebuilding confidence.
- Encourage prospective AMHPs with preparation for training and promote the AMHP role within and external to the organisation e.g. at events; multi- agency forums; attending different services and team meetings.
- Offer clinical and social care advice to professionals in multiple service divisions concerning high risk/ complex cases coming from 136/secure/police custody/Liaison etc.
- Liaison and gatekeeping for Legal Services as required.
- To develop and monitor systems, policies, standards and procedures, that ensures compliance with best practice requirements of the Trust and County Council in line with both agencies strategic policies and the strategic plans of the Joint Commissioning Partnership Board.
- In partnership, to identify trends, strengths and weaknesses that may influence the development of AMHP Services and to develop a culture of continuous improvement throughout the designated team/s.
- To partake in AMHP rota work and practice.
