Job summary

The Neuromodulation Service is looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic and genuine band 5 RMN or RGN to join a , dynamic and skilled, yet friendly nursing team in a part time part role to work in an accredited Neuromodulation Service (Electro-convulsive Therapy (ECT) & Transcranial Magnetic stimulation (TMS) service based at Kingfisher Court mental health unit in Radlett. Skills and experience in a similar a similar healthcare setting would be an advantage, however you will be provided training to develop your skills in ECT and TMS and make a difference to people suffering mental illness who require assessment and treatment. Good IT skills are essential aspect to the role. The service hours are Monday - Friday 7.30 - 15.30. The successful candidate will be offered 7.5hrs per week and have the opportunity to join the Bank Bureau and work bank shifts on other departments in the Trust.

Job responsibilities

  • To have the clinical skills relative to the delivery of ECT/TMS. This and means keeping clinically up to date; providing guidance and support to service user care in the psychological and physical preparation for treatment, based on evidence and locally agreed protocols and policies.
  • To ensure all treatment suites are properly prepared, organised and maintained for practice in accordance with treatment protocols and accreditation standards.
  • To ensure regular maintenance of equipment and the suites, in accordance with Trust policy and procedure.
  • To contribute towards effective management and utilisation of resources with the treatment suites

  • Intermediate Life Support training
  • Current membership of NMC
