Robin Ward is a 18 bedded female only treatment ward offering acute mental health care to women. The ward provides single sex accommodation and has a multi-disciplinary team including psychologists, occupational therapy, recreational workers as well as the nursing and medical team.

The interview process will include a Maths and English test, together with a role play.
Main duties of the job
The Health Care Assistant will have an appreciation and knowledge of unit procedures, competency based clinical observations, and will be able to organise day to day tasks and activities based on an agreed work plan.
This role will work with more experienced Registered and Unregistered practitioners providing support to both health and social care professionals. The aim is to assess the service users within a short period of time and identify the most appropriate treatment pathway.
The successful candidates will:
- display a considerable degree of initiative andpossess mature judgment
- maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with service users, their relatives, the police, colleagues and visitors
- have experience in mental health
- have experience of caring for vulnerable adults
