Information: We are seeking to recruit a Senior Clinician.
An opportunity has arisen to join the Mid Essex Talking Therapies Team as a Senior Clinician. This is a unique and highly valued role within the team that works alongside our Senior Team and our CBT therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to offer specialist support, guidance and supervision.
Base: The ME Talking Therapies Team is currenlty based at Tekhnicon House in Braintree and the postholder will be required to be on site for a minimum of 2 days per week
Hours: this is a part time position - 15 hours per week
Main duties of the job
- The post-holder will provide specialist support, guidance and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychological therapist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers within community mental health services, primary care and other agencies.
- To provide supervision to band 7 psychological therapists / trainee clinical/counselling psychologists and other psychological therapies practitioners as required.
- The post-holder will work closely with local mental health service teams, as well as a range of other psychological therapy colleagues within the service setting.
- The post-holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
- The post-holder will utilise research skills for audit, teaching, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/TRAINING
Essential
- Post-graduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and current BACP/UKCP/BAPCP registration.
- Experience of supervising qualified and nonqualified clinical staff
Desirable
- Further post-graduate training in CBT models for specific populations, e.g. trauma
AREAS OF EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Essential
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a variety of care settings
- Ability and experience of representing psychological therapies within the context of multi-disciplinary team working and inter-agency collaboration
