Job summary
We are recruiting for a Receptionist for Borehamwood Civic Offices in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. There are twoteams based at this site and the post will be line managed by the site manager.
The role of receptionist is uniquely important in that the reception staff are often the first contact visitors have with the Trust. Therefore, it is vital that the right person is able to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills in their day to day running of reception.
To be successful you will need excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, the ability to communicate well both written and verbal. The Postholder will work closely with, and supported by the teams on site to ensure a smooth and effective reception service.
Main duties of the job
- Be welcoming, professional and kind.
- Confident using different software.
- Giving directions via phone or face to face.
- Checking ID
- Answering telephone ,screening and transferring calls
- Handing out keys, access cards and personal alarms to staff
- Reporting faults and maintenance jobs to the helpdesks.
- Be responsible for any photocopying and Scanning of sign in sheets
- Be jointly responsible for room bookings, keeping bookable rooms clean and organised
- Maintain up-to-date information on notice boards at main reception area and other areas as required.
- Ordering and maintaining stationary and other items.
- Ensure reception is kept neat and tidy and welcoming environment for visitors to the unit.
- liaising with, SU, Staff, Contractors, Visitors, Carer's, Family members
- Site induction and tours.
- Fire warden duties.
- Working as part of a team.
- To relay confidential, sensitive information to colleagues and outside agencies, in person or on the telephone
