Job summary
We are advertising for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant.
The Health Care Assistant (Band 3) is the second step on a skills escalator of unregistered practitioners,with an appreciation and knowledge of unit procedures, competency based clinical observations, is able to organise day to day tasks and activities based on an agreed and allocated work plan.
The Mental Health Urgent Care Centre will be an enhanced specialist multidisciplinary team focus on improving the experience and outcomes for service users, carers, and staff, alongside providing system efficiency in enabling the acute hospital to operate and improve ED performance and quality of care. The service will operate 24/7 and will be a multi-disciplinary, cross sector service that is practitioner-led and supported by social care, voluntary sector partners and Lived Experience Workers. Will be based at the Lister Hospital. Enhanced payments for weekends, BH's, evenings and nights.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will:
- have experience in administering healthcare
- are passionate about providing the highest standards of mental health care in the acute inpatient setting
- be expected to work as part of a team alongside with the qualified staff and focusing on needs of service users
- be compassionate people
- hold a strong belief in recovery for people with severe and enduring mental health problems
- provide support to help meet the needs of service users, their carers and families.
- It is expected that you will be a flexible practitioner who enjoys new challenges in meeting the developing needs of the service and our service users.
