We are looking to recruit staff who want to work in the early intervention in psychosis service, committed to delivering personalised and meaningful care.

PATH provide Early Intervention in Psychosis services to people within Hertfordshire between the ages of 16 and 65. It is a multidisciplinary community mental health service that provides treatment and support to people already experiencing psychosis for the first time. The pathway is three years in duration. The defining characteristic of the service is its strong ethos of hope and whole-team commitment to enabling recovery through the provision of individually tailored, evidence-based interventions and support to service users and their families /carers.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

  • hold a graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health)
  • carry out relevant risk assessments and risk management with the multi-disciplinary team
  • engage with and gather information from service users, relatives, and patient records to develop a formulation
  • work in collaboration with the individual service user and their family and carers as appropriate to develop care plans that are focused on strengths and are outcome based
  • plan and deliver Family Interventions for psychosis (FIP), in line with best practice.
