Job summary

This position is based at Martinlea Transport Office where you will be joining a small positive Team, who strive to pull together to deliver an outstanding service in a very busy enviroment

We are a happy Team who depend on each other to create a fantastic service for our Trust. Working together harmoniously and supporting one another are paramount to our success.

Main duties of the job

Taking bookings over the phone and by email, entering on to the dedicated Transport IT system and relaying these to our dedicated driving Team using the latest in phone and PDA technology.

The duty timings and days we our looking to recruit to are as follows:

Sunday 08:00 to 18:00 with a 1 Hour break

Mon-Tue Wed-Thu 12:30 to 20:30 with a 1 Hour break daily

Job responsibilities

Main duties

  1. To assist with clerical duties e.g. the filing system within the Transport Services
  2. To assist with Transport Administration duties (e.g. Journey Input data, Job quality verification, etc)
  3. To provide day to day telephone call/enquiry support, for the Transport Services managerial Staff
  4. To operate and best manage the vehicle location system
  5. To operate and deliver appropriate GPS information and translating that data to ensure effective transport service provision
  6. To issue instruction via palm top technology to drivers and other contracted transport services
  7. To carry our any clerical duties that is appropriate to helpdesk function
  8. To have working knowledge of appropriate office equipment
  9. To attend all relevant training as may be required. As directed by your line manager
  10. To attend meeting
  11. To operate and deliver all aspects of the Transport Helpdesk
  12. To operate and input all booking requests and allocate the most appropriate to user requirements
  13. To undertake any other duties within the broad framework of this job description as may be delegated by Transport Management.
