Job summary

We have an opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our accredited community mental health service in Stortford working in our outstanding organisation. Our teams can offer you opportunities to work in supportive multi disciplinary settings to develop your nursing career.

In addition we are currently offering successful candidates a recruitment and retention bonus of £6,000 pro rata per annum(£1,500 paid on commencement, £1,500 paid after 6 months, £3,000 paid after 12 months, and £3,000 paid 6 monthly intervals thereafter). Terms and conditions apply, payment is kept under review and not applicable to internal applicants.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking nurses who can provideeffective support and interventionsto adults with mental health conditions to work collaboratively with service users in developing recovery goals and plans

You will have opportunity to contribute to service development workingjointly with other agencies, and to provide specific nursing interventions and contribute a nursing voice inmulti-disciplinary clinical discussions, care planning and assessments.

We can provide opportunities to specialize in clinic based work or community based work so do discuss this further with us at interview.

Qualifications

Essential

  • RMN or Dip/Bsc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing
  • ENB 998/Preceptorship and Mentorship

Desirable

  • ENB 812/Bsc in Specialist Community Nursing Practice (Mental Health).
  • Qualified in Psychosocial interventions

Experience and Attainments

Essential

  • Experience of working in a range of settings relevant to the post
  • At least one year at Band 5.
  • Experience of working in situations of crisis and emotionally demanding environments.
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding process
  • Experience of delivering evidence based care

Desirable

  • Experience of workingin a community MH setting

Knowledge

Essential

  • Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, ethical issues, strategic frameworks and current guidelines regarding the range of presenting problems in adult mental health, their implications for both practices and clinical management
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
