Applications are invited to apply for a Locum Appointments Service (LAS CT) in Psychiatry at the CQC rated 'OUTSTANDING' Trust, Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust.
This post would be at aimed at junior grade CT1-3 level (i.e. 1-3 years post qualification/post foundation level) and whilst this is not an approved training post we would mirror the training opportunities given to those in training posts and the successful applicant will work alongside and share on-call duties with our Core Trainees. Access to supervision is excellent and post holders will be supported in maintaining their training portfolio.
Main duties of the job
This post will allow you to consolidate your experience in a dynamic, supportive environment where there is emphasis on training and development, giving you a wide range of clinical exposure.
We would be keen to work with successful applicants and help you continue to build your Psychiatry Career. We envisage this post would act as a stepping stone into a training post and we would look to encourage and fully support successful completion of exams.
We have a modern Learning and Development Centre and an active Postgraduate Teaching Programme and a well-stocked library. Good facilities for study and training are available.
The right candidates will need to be able to communicate well with professionals and relatives, prioritise workload and to work effectively within a Multidisciplinary team.
Eligible candidates should be fully registered with the GMC and have a license to practice, as well having experience and a real interest in psychiatry.
