Job summary

We are pleased to offer a part-time position, that could be considered as a secondment opportunity to work within Radiology as an Administration Manager. This is an excellent development opportunity for someone looking to broaden their current skill set or take a first step into management.

The role is part time at 15 hours per week, forming part of a job share. It is primarily based at Worcester Royal Hospital, though some travel across sites may be required to support Radiology administration teams.

You will be joining a supportive and experienced team of three Administration Managers (1 WTE and 2 part time), all of whom are dedicated, collaborative, and friendly.

As Administration Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of Radiology administration services. Working as part of a job share, you will contribute to the leadership and coordination of administrative teams, ensuring high quality, patient focused support across the department.

Main duties of the job

As Administration Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of Radiology services.

Supporting the day to day management of Radiology administrative services

Providing leadership, guidance, and support to administrative staff

Helping to ensure efficient workflows, effective communication, and excellent patient experience

Contributing to service improvement initiatives and operational planning.

The Administration Manager is responsible for delivering the Trusts Strategy, within their area of responsibility.

The Administration Manager will have responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of delivering all national and local waiting list targets and will work to facilitate communication across all teams involved with the booking of Radiology patients.

The Administration Manager will work with the Directorate Manager and Clinical service Manager to provide business and managerial support in order that the activity, quality and financial objectives of the Radiology services are successfully delivered

To monitor performance against activity targets and other service objectives. To ensure that all national and locally agreed waiting times and booking targets are understood and met.

Produce reports for Directorates/ relevant Trust areas to monitor performance against national and local clinical indicators.

To provide the Clinical Teams with information to assist in the management of services.

To monitor sickness/absence and annual leave for relevant staff group and where appropriate organise cover, following Directorate guidelines and within agreed budgets.
