Dental Core Training Year 1 Oral Surgery

Job summary

We are recruiting for a suitably experienced dental graduate to fill a DCT 1 post that complements and supports our existing DCT1 post holders.

The post offers exposure to, and training in, many aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Although a locum appointment for service, it is our intention to provide the necessary support to enable the post holder to achieve the expected DCT 2 competencies for DCT 2 equivalence at the end of their post in Worcestershire.

Main duties of the job

During the period as post-holder you will be part of the oral and maxillofacial surgery on-call surgical team. Your responsibility will be to take acute referrals of patients with oral and maxillofacial conditions and to look after the OMFS inpatients.

  • Eligible for full GDC Registration with a Licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • MB ChB, MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Satisfactory completion of F1 training, or equivalent.

Desirable
