Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self- motivated individual to join the Transport team at the Worcestershire Acute NHS Foundation Trust, as a driver for our busy transport department. This is a full time position 37.5 hours Mon-Fri. Working patterns comprise of. 6am-2pm / 2pm-8pm / 8am-4pm / 9am-5pm / 930-1730/. Dependant on shift allocated, Weekend working may be needed.

The role will involve driving the many trust vehicles in our transport fleet to provide the service to our hospitals & other NHS organisations throughout Worcestershire & Birmingham. Our fleet consists of 13 vehicles which include one 3.5 ton box van. A full detailed training programme will be assigned to the post holder. Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

The post holder will form part of a team within the transport department driving competently and safely one of our fleet of vehicles. Responsible for daily safety checks on vehicles and that the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition. Accountable to portering Co-ordinator & transport supervisor for allocation of jobs. Be required to complete daily vehicle log sheets, journey forms, defect reports. Required to work across our 3 hospital site in exceptional circumstances.
