Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7, full time Lead CNS for Stroke to join the service here at Worcester Royal Hospital. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated leader to join our stroke team to support the provision of specialist treatment and care for patients immediately following a stroke.
Please note this post requires 7 day working including night working.
This post will have responsibilities for managing the team of 10 Stroke CNS's.

Main duties of the job
Role Dimensions:
Staff Management /Senior Line manager for Band 6 Stroke CNS team.
Maintain and ensure a workable 24/7 roster.
Manage any performance or sickness in line with trust policy.
Provide leadership and direction to the CNS team.
Ongoing service development and education ofstaff working within stroke medicine.
Drive improvements in SSNAP audit.
Provide support with stroke governance.
Undertakes roles formally/normally undertaken by medical staff.
Working autonomously to order tests and investigations.
Communicates diagnosis and results of investigations and treatment plan to patient and relatives.
Works in support/alongsidemedical staff
Lead on embedding new technology into work place ie video triage.
One to one teaching with medical staff, nurses andtherapists on a daily basis
