An exciting new opportunity
has arisen within our clinical pharmacy team to further develop specialist patient care.
We are looking for an
innovative, experienced lead pharmacist (8a) to come and deliver best practice, patient centred care to our surgical
patients.
The post offers the
opportunity to deliver and further develop pharmacy services at a senior level
in line with the aspirations of the Trust and the pharmacy department delivering direct clinical care. The Trust is expanding the
Nutrition Support Team to develop the service to our patients with complex
nutritional needs. Working with consultants, nursing and dietetic staff you
will support the enhanced service for patients requiring intravenous feeding.
Training can be provided to support delivery of this extended service. In
addition, we can offer the opportunity to develop your clinical, leadership and
managerial skills to suit the role.

Provide direct highly specialised patient care utilising your prescribing skills to our surgical wards at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
Working as part of the MDT, assess, plan and deliver parenteral nutrition for patients with complex nutritional needs
Assess and identify key areas for service development and expansion in conjunction with the team lead
Become the expert on medications in this field both within the directorate, the wider pharmacy team and across the trust and ICB.
Act as a mentor and role model for pharmacists and technicians
Provide education and training to pharmacy staff and the wider MDT on specialist medications and pharmacy services

- Professional knowledge acquired through a vocational degree in pharmacy
- Currently Registered as a pharmacist in UK:
- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Clinical specialist knowledge acquired through postgraduate level training e.g. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, RPS advanced level framework or specialist clinical modules relevant to the role.
- Currently meeting the GPhC standard for continuing professional development.
- Accredited independent prescriber

- Have undertaken a Health Assessment course
- Working towards RPS Faculty membership

- Formal teaching/ training on providing feedback
