Job summary
Supporting the pharmacy homecare team to provide the countywide homecare service to all acute trust patients as appropriate.
Ensuring that all SOPs, policies and guidelines are followed at all times.
Providing efficient and effective administrative support for the pharmacy homecare team.
Responsible for organising and forwarding prescriptions to the correct homecare company ensuring
records are kept and receipts are received for all scripts sent providing a full audit trail.
Receiving drugs and relevant accessories onto the pharmacy computer system correctly and in a timely
manner ensuring the proof of delivery and invoice match the orders placed on the pharmacy computer
system and the prices charged are correct. Any errors must be escalated immediately.
Maintaining up to date records of invoices passed to pharmacy finance for payment.
Maintaining records of homecare invoices passed for payment on company statements and ensuring
outstanding invoices are chased and escalated as appropriate.
Passing invoices for payment accurately and in a timely manner including those not relating to Homecare.
Producing workload statistics as required.
Acting as an ambassador for the pharmacy service.
Leading, motivating and managing pharmacy staff assigned to the post ensuring they actively and effectively contribute to the aims of the service, are trained and assessed as competent and, are aware of the expectations of them.
Main duties of the job
