Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust

Supply Chain Co-ordinator

The closing date is 27 August 2025

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and reliable individual to join our Interventional Supply Chain team based within Theatres at Kidderminster Treatment Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, timely, and accurate supply chain services within a busy and dynamic hospital environment. This role involves working closely with colleagues across Theatres, Clinical Departments, and the wider Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure the effective management and flow of stock and supplies.

Applicants should have good communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and confidence in using IT systems, including both desktop and handheld devices. Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a hospital or healthcare setting, is desirable but not essential.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Receiving and receipting deliveries
  • Stock rotation and replenishment of clinical areas
  • Conducting cycle counts and stock audits
  • Internal distribution of goods across the department
  • Supporting the implementation of a Trust-wide Inventory Management System

The successful candidate will work as part of a supportive and experienced Supply Chain team but will also be expected to work independently and without supervision when required.

This is a physically active role including the lifting and movement of goods and roll cages. The post holder will be expected to follow safe manual handling procedures when receiving, transporting, and distributing stock across the site. On occasion, the role may require travel to other Trust locations to provide operational support or cover.

Flexibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards are essential.
