This is an exciting opportunity for a Skin Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Worcester Acute Hospital Trust.
We are looking for an experienced nurse with an interest in Skin Cancer to join our nursing team that offer specialist clinical advice, support and treatment to patients diagnosed with skin cancer. You will be offered mentorship and development within the role to increase your skills and knowledge in a clinical nurse specialist role.
The role will be full time working across our hospital sites of Worcester, Kidderminster and Redditch.

Main duties of the job
Support and clinically assess Skin cancer patients
Provide specialist advice to a range of Health care professioanls via written, telephone and person-to-person contact
Liase with other nursing staff and members of the multidisciplinary team in order to achieve optimum levels of care in relation to specialised area of practice e.g. when discussing treatment options and sharing care with other specialities.
Excellent communication skills and working relationships
Proficient in using information systems for data entry and updating patient records
Dealing with complex cases and interpret clinical information
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Support training and educational needs
Act as a role model
Comply with Health and safety, infection control and other trust policies.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive highly specialist service to patients with Skin cancer and their carers/family.
The post holder will provide expert clinical care, specialist advice and support for patients with Skin cancer and their carers/family which will include patient assessment, planning and implementation of specialist care. In addition the post holder will provide clinical leadership within this area of care and lead, develop and implement specialist education, training, research and audit relevant to the speciality.
The post holder will act as an expert specialist resource for Skin cancer and benign disease, collaborating with all members of the multi-professional team, both within the Trust and Primary Health Care Teams, to facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care. The post holder will provide specialist nursing knowledge and expertise on all aspects of Skin cancer surgery and care.
