The Surgery Division are looking to recruit a Quality Governance Manager to support the Quality Governance Lead in overseeing all aspects of quality governance. The post holder will be a fundamental part of the Quality Governance Team for the Division, ensuring that services meet the required level of quality assurance standards within the Trust. The Division comprises 10 specialties which support the delivery of Surgical procedures both inpatient and day case. The Divisional services span 6 hospitals across the county of Worcestershire.
The primary aim of the role is to promote the management of clinical incident reporting under the guidance of the Patient & Safety Incident Response Framework and ensuring that all Patient Safety Incident reports are accurately recorded, investigated, and actioned in line with local Policy. To provide managerial support to the Quality Governance Lead and in their absence to Directorate Lead/Senior Nurse in managing and developing Directorate arrangements for clinical governance and specifically clinical risk management and patient safety. To provide support, advice, and guidance to all levels of staff across the Surgical Directorates to ensure that there are processes in place to systematically assess and prioritise clinical risks with corrective action programmes in place.
Main duties of the job
To drive improvement in line with the Trusts Patient & Safety, Risk Management and Quality Strategies. To provide evidence-based assurance in support of Patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness and Patient Experience and deliver improved patient outcomes and experiences.
