To work clinically as a urology nurse specialist providing a range of nurse led clinics, support the service and support the department with expert knowledge and skills. Identifying and directing patient referrals from the GP and other sources to the most appropriate clinic. To provide a high standard of evidenced based care for patients with urological conditions. To provide teaching and clinical expertise across the hospital site and community teams with a passion for improving quality.

To offer ideas to improve the quality of service to our patient based on Trust Values.

Main duties of the job

To be able to rotate through a range of nurse led clinics i.e. erectile dysfunction, lower urinary tract symptoms assessment and planning, intra-vesical clinics, catheter clinics and TWOCs. To be able to introduce new clinics if appropriate and required.

Visiting patients on the wards to offer support, phone support, post op major phone support.
