Applications are
invited for this exciting opportunity to join as a Junior Clinical Fellow
in Vascular & Endovascular surgery in Worcester Royal Hospital. The
vascular unit is also one of the busiest in the region. We perform a wide range
of open and endovascular arterial interventions along with endovenous surgery
across the network, providing opportunity to learn and develop broad vascular
surgical experience.
The Vascular team is friendly, supportive and approachable with a commitment to training. Medical students from the University of Birmingham and Warwick Medical School are placed in Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
The appointed Clinical Fellow will
be joining a team of 3 other juniors, comprising of 1 SHO level doctors and 2 FY1
level doctors. This post is based at Worcester Royal Hospital.
Main duties of the job
It is anticipated that the weekly timetable will be Monday - Friday 0800 - 1700 and that the work performed will mainly be ward work. The successful applicant will be able to gain experience and insight into clinics and theatres but the main role will be ward cover and ensuring patient safety in this area.
There will be a responsibility for the maintenance of proper case records and investigations on patients, and correspondence with General Practitioners and others as required.
