Quality Governance Lead Specialised Clinical Services and Surgery

Job summary

The divisions of Specialised Clinical Services (SCS) & Surgery are looking to recruit a Quality Governance Lead to provide leadership and quality development across both divisions. The divisions comprises 25 specialties which support the delivery of surgical procedures, both Inpatient and day case, and resources that support Trust services including Pharmacy, Oncology, Diagnostics and Outpatients. The divisional services span 6 hospitals across the county of Worcestershire.

This leadership role requires transformation leadership skills and expertise in CQC regulations and quality assurance and improvement methodology. The role is required to implement strategies across multi-complex services and be able to provide assurance and influence Senior Leadership Teams as well as manage and support the excellent Governance Teams across both divisions.

Main duties of the job

The primary aim of the role is to provide assurance that both divisions have established guidelines, processes and procedures that facilitates on-going plans for consistent compliance with all locally and nationally agreed quality standards based on the Clinical Governance Framework. To drive improvement in line with the Trusts Patient & Safety, Risk Management and Quality strategies. To provide evidence-based assurance in support of Patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness and Patient Experience, and deliver improved patient outcomes and experiences.
