About us

The Trust has for some years provided undergraduate teaching to medical students from the University of Birmingham and the University of Warwick.

Following the University of Birminghams 2014 curriculum review, the College of Medical and Dental Sciences has established a Clinical Teaching Academy at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which provides clinical teaching for years 3, 4 and 5 medical students from the University of Birmingham. Clinical teaching is also provided for graduate entry medical students from the University of Warwick and Three Counties Medical School (University of Worcester).

These changes have led to an increase in the teaching demands on medical staff. For successful applicants working full time (40 hours a week) exposure to a clinical speciality of the successful applicants choice will be encouraged at the discretion of the Head/Deputy Head of Academy.
