We have an exiting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Neurologist (up to 2 years).

Worcester Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for a Consultant Neurologist to join our team of 9 consultants. This is an exiting time to join our growing department.

We welcome applications for consultants wanting to develop a subspecialist service which is tailored to your expertise. For example our team lead on Epilepsy, MS, Parkinsons, Headache & Migraine, Stroke to name a few.

Main duties of the job

As a Locum Consultant Neurologist, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality general neurology services across Worcestershire
  • Develop and lead a subspecialty service in your area of expertise
  • Provide outpatient care across multiple hospital sites including Alexandra Hospital, Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital
  • Take part in inpatient neurology care at Worcester Royal Hospital, including ward referrals
  • Work closely with a diverse MDT to deliver seamless patient care
  • Engage in teaching and research
  • Participate in the duty neurologist rota, including a 1 in 8 weekend rota.
