We are looking for motivated nurses, forward thinking and compassionate to work with our nursing teams on Avon 2 to deliver our quality care agenda to the highest standard.

Avon 2 is a 22 bedded acute medicine ward that delivers high standard of care and support to acutely ill patients and on this ward we have MDT approach.

We aim to provide an individualised and supportive environment for patients in which to deliver this specialised care for acutely unwell patients.

Experience in veneputure, cannulation and the care of acutely ill patients would be an advantage, also experience mentoring students.

We welcome newly or recently qualified staff nurse with good communication skills and pride themselves on delivering quality care under supervision.

Comprehensive Trust and ward/department induction is provided and an established staff nurse development program is available.

Main duties of the job

To work according to the NMC Code and relevant professional guidelines and framework. To Provide patient care, which includes assessing their needs, administering medication, Monitoring vital signs.To ensure effective communication with patients, relatives, carers and the multidisciplinary team.To provide supervision, support and education to unqualified staff and students
