**THIS VACANCY IS ONLY OPEN TO INTERNAL APPLICANTS FROM WORCESTERSHIRE ACUTE HOSPITALS NHS TRUST**

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Antenatal Screening Team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital. We need a Band 6 Midwife to work 37.5 hours per week for a 6 month secondment role. The post holder will support the Screening Team in the coordination of the key objectives in relation to the Antenatal and Newborn Screening Programme. Its an exciting opportunity to develop new skills and learning in a specialised area of midwifery.

Main duties of the job

You will help to develop the Antenatal and Newborn Screening service within the hospital and community supported by the Antenatal Screening Coordinator. Ensuring that the programmes of Antenatal and Newborn screening offered are in line with national service standards and specifications and to assist with the implementation of the screening programmes at a local Trust level with the implementation of screening programmes at a local level.

You will assist in formulating new antenatal screening pathways/guidelines within the Trust in line with national guidance. Assist in the provision of specialist care for women and families who have received abnormal screening results or scan findings. Participate in education and training of maternity staff on antenatal and newborn screening. Work alongside and support fetal medicine consultants in designated scan clinics.
