Job summary

The primary aim
of the role is to provide assurance that both Divisions have established
guidelines, processes and procedures that facilitates ongoing plan for
consistent compliance with all locally and nationally agreed quality standards
based on clinical governance framework.
To drive improvement in line with the Trusts Patient & Safety, Risk
Management and Quality Strategies.
To provide evidence-based assurance in
support of Patient Safety, Clinical Effectiveness and Patient Experience and
deliver improved patient outcomes and experiences.
The post holder
is responsible for promoting the vision and values of Worcestershire Acute NHS
Hospitals Trust, leading by example and ensuring that they demonstrate those
values in their leadership behaviours and how we support our teams and deliver
our services.
Main duties of the job
Lead the
implementation of long-term quality governance programmes, ensuring delivery on
demand.
Develop/Deliver a robust strategy
for quality governance within the Divisions
in line with the
Trusts Strategy & Objectives, local service demands & strategic
intent.
Provide oversight
of the strategic & operational delivery of all aspects of quality assurance
pertinent to the business of quality governance that is
safety centric, as well as demonstrating that good quality governance is
understood & practised across all professional groups.
Lead on monitoring
standards of a range of quality governance, clinical effectiveness & patient
safety activity, in liaison with multidisciplinary professionals including
operational & clinical leads to ensure cohesive services across
interlinking specialities & Divisions.
Lead/Be accountable for quality governance deliverables within both Divisions& ensure
the triangulation of information & intelligence to support learning & best
practice throughout both Divisions.
Lead on the implementation
of the Trusts Quality & Risk Management
strategies & associated policies within the Divisions &supporting directorates ensuring a clear
framework is in place that influences discussions in support of shared learning & improved performance.
To be a highly
motivated individual, demonstrating a transformational leadership style & adopt a flexible approach to meet the
competing demands of the role within several interlocking teams.
