Job summary
An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time fixed term contract (12 months) Project Manager to join our Digital Programme Management Office in order to lead a number of projects including the deployment of infrastructure and system upgrades as part of our Digital programme, as well as the introduction of brand-new clinical ICT systems.

This role is an ideal opportunity for someone with significant experience of working within project environments. As project manager you will have experience of projects using both traditional project management methodologies and agile methodologies and must possess demonstrable experience of working using such methodologies.
The Digital Project Manager will be an integral part of the development and delivery of the Trusts vision to be a truly digital healthcare organisation, supported by a solid foundation of infrastructure and innovative use of communication technology to enable excellence. The Digital Project Managers will not only have the support of experienced staff in the department but also the technical expertise of our ICT provider (Computacenter).
Main duties of the job
The project manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the project steering group within the constraints laid down by the project steering group.
The project managers prime responsibility is to ensure that the projects (many of which are part of a wider Digital programme) produce the required products, to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost. The project manager is also responsible for the project producing a result which is capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business case.
