Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is committed to

start to developing and delivering our sustainability agenda, there is much
more that we could achieve. We are looking for a Sustainability Manager
to ensure that we proactively develop and deliver our sustainability programme,
keeping abreast of legislation and policy as well as implement best practice
relating to climate change and sustainability. You will be
responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation and delivery of
the Trusts Sustainability Strategy, applying your project management and
continuous improvement expertise to secure the outcomes we are aspiring
to. This is a new role, so you will have a unique opportunity to
use your expertise and previous experience to influence our direction of travel
and shape the future of our sustainability agenda, whilst working closely with
our ICS and wider partners.
Main duties of the job

The role will have responsibility for the breadth of
sustainability issues at the Trust, so as Sustainability Manager you will:
Lead,
develop and co-ordinate delivery of the Trusts Green Plan, Strategic Net Zero
Plan, Climate Adaption plan, and associated programmes of work.
Support
the development of an operating model which adopts adopting effective matrix
working with our green leads and transformation and improvement teams to meet
the overall objectives in a way that is consistent with improvement methodology
principles
Ensure
appropriate stakeholders are engaged and managed through the life of the
sustainability programmes and projects (including NHS partners, County and
District councils, the University and business representative
organisations/relevant community groups)Operate
the established governance arrangements within sustainability projects and
ensure that key information is presented, and decisions sought from the
appropriate body at the appropriate time
