Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated Radiographer with recent, comprehensive experience in MR Imaging (minimum of 2 years). You will be working within a team delivering a countywide MRI service within Worcestershire Acute Hospital Trust.
The county is a beautiful base with great links out to the rest of the Midlands, Wales and the South West , its not as far as you may think! The MR service consists of 3 sites the Worcester Royal Hospital, the Alexandra Hospital and the Kidderminster Treatment Centre. All are supported by excellent travel links .
Rotation between these sites offers an extensive range of MRI examinations including Cardiac, Breast, Gynae, Urology and Paediatric MRI. Our current MR Scanner configuration includes Siemens Avanto, Siemens Altea and Philips Ingenia systems.
You will be part of a dedicated team delivering and developing the MRI service. A flexible and dynamic approach to working will be required.
Our goal is to provide high quality MR Imaging with the focus on patient care and safety whilst professionally developing our radiographers.
We offer both an in-patient and out-patient service across a 7-day week. You will be expected to participate in the MRI out of hours service which includes weekend cover and regular extended days.

-To consistently produce high quality, diagnostic imaging.
-To deliver excellent patient care, maintaining high safety standards.
-To plan, prioritise and organise the workload.
-To maintain appropriate stock levels and adhere to infection control measures.
-To be actively involved in departmental audit, quality assurance and quality improvement programmes.
-To demonstrate effective communication with all staff and departments.
-To assist the Site Lead to develop protocols and techniques.
-To adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
-To train others and supervise junior members of staff.
-Contribute to the out of hours, extended day rota.
-To vet referrals according to the Systems of Work in operation.
