Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Endoscopy Trained Nurse.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage our newly built Community Diagnostic Centre, JAG Accredited Endoscopy Unit at Kidderminster Treatment Centre. We are a busy unit of 4 rooms increasing to 5 in the next 6 months.
We undertake a range of GI and Urology diagnostic procedures and some GI therapeutics.
We are a Training Academy Spoke Training Unit providing training days, immersive training and actively promote career progression within our teams.
We have a countywide Practice Development Team support staff development within the unit and a Professional Nurse Advocate to support completion of JETS workforce competencies and training.
You will be working closely with our other unit managers within our 5 Endoscopy Sites along with our JAG / Governance Lead Nurse and Decontamination Lead.
Main duties of the job
To ensure a high standard of nursing care at all
times through the effective management of staff and resources on his / her
allocated department
To
demonstrate strong clinical leadership in stressful and challenging situations.
To
promote a positive approach to new challenges and creative ways of working.
To
act as advocate for their designated area and liase with all members of the
multi-disciplinary team to co-ordinate all aspects of patient care in the best
interests of the patient and family.
To
ensure effective training and educational programmes are available by liaising
with appropriate personnel to meet the training and educational needs of nurses
in the clinical area. This post carries continuing responsibility for the
management of the Unit, including the deployment and supervision of staff.

- To inform and discuss with Matron / Directorate Manager any problems regarding nurse management.

- To manage the Unit / Unit allocated budget effectively to remain within financial constraints.
