Job summary

We are looking to recruit two part-time Receptionists / Appointments Co-Ordinators to join our friendly team on Millbrook Suite at Kidderminster Hospital. Millbrook Suite is a day case and outpatient area that delivers oncology and haematology treatments. If you have experience of working in a busy front of house or NHS clinic environment, excellent customer service, communication and people skills as well as a caring and compassionate nature, then we would like to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The receptionist is an essential part of the clerical, admin and support team for the unit and will include meeting and greeting patients both for outpatient clinic and treatment appointments, greeting visitors, answering telephone enquiries, creating, amending and out-coming appointments as well as management of the department reception areas. This role includes a range of administrative duties, using Trust systems to record and maintain patient records. The postholder will need to have a flexible attitude to work, with the ability to adapt when the service requires.

  • ECDL or excellent PC literacy including knowledge of all Windows packages Experience of working in a customer service or patient related environment An effective and supportive team player Ability to prioritise and organise a changing workload and work systematically towards deadlines Able to deal with difficult people and to cope with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a clinical environment within the NHS. Experience of using multiple healthcare IT systems.
