Main duties of the job

This post is not a deanery approved training post, although the posts provide F1 level work experience and teaching. Additionally, we provide access to Horus, the deanery on line training logbook, which allows Trust Practitioners to document their learning achievements. A completed Horus Learning Portfolio, together with attendance at the weekly teaching, Completed Prescribing Modules, Audits, and Projects are used to assess progress.

This job would be suitable for qualified medical graduates with full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice including junior doctors who have worked outside the UK but have no prior experience of working in the NHS. Overseas candidates completing a 6-year Medical Degree, scheduled to graduate prior to the start date may be considered for shortlisting, provided they are eligible to have full registration. The program is not suitable for doctors with provisional GMC registration who require a deanery post. This also applies to those who are due to complete their final MBBS after the interview date subject to a letter of recommendation from the medical school dean and submission of a summary of examination progress to date.
